Abstract：In the movie Forrest Gump, the hero Gump on represents the western traditional values of virtue. He is not complicated, persistent, no ideality, but lucky, he achieved great success, full of individualistic heroism. Contrary to Gump, jenny is contradictory, fickle .though having nothing in the end, she has a wonderful dream. In my opinion, Gump is an ideal hero. Jenny represents the ordinary people at that time, complicated but lives truly. This article researches jenny’s life experiences, role charactersitics and comparison with Gump in different times
