想一想，你觉得你是一个什么样的人？

这是一个很好的问题，每一个人都应该有自己的答案！惹人喜爱并深得人爱的喜剧演员Jack Benny 曾经说 ：“我还缺乏一种成为好演员的东西--我很少听到一些善意的建议。因为我总是得到太多的掌声。”但这难道不是一个值得拥有的麻烦吗？事实上，我们并不会得到那么多的掌声。人们的批评总是在赞扬前到达，即使是我们最亲近的人可能也不会经常赞扬我们的成就。

演员Carol Burnette 的母亲就是一个急于批评的人，Carol曾想做一位新闻人士。但当她进入大学后，她发现她总是被电影院所吸引。她的母亲很反对“终于你的梦想”，她母亲说“无论你碰到什么样的情况，你都应该坚持你的写作。”

幸运的是她并没有听取她母亲的建议。她知道她在干什么，而且不让任何人左右她，即使是她最亲近的妈妈。

如果你认为你就是别人所描述的那样的话，或许你那是在欺骗你自己。因为你就是世界上最好的那个，最值得尊重的那个。但你正确的体现了你的价值了吗？

认真想一想你是什么样的人？这是一个每个人都该回答的问题。仔细想一想，因为，这可能是你一生中最重要的问题。

Just who do you think you are ?

That’s a good question . One we should each answer! The lovable and beloved comedian Jack Benny once announced,“I lack only one quality of a great actor, I am slightly hard of hearing--the result of so much applause, y’ know ” Wouldn ’t that be a wonderful problem to have ? But the reality is that we don’t get much applause. People are often quicker to criticize than to compliment, and even those closet to us may not regularly applaud our efforts.

Actress Carol Burnette’s mother was a women who was often too quick to criticize. Carol wanted to be a journalist. But after entering college,she found herself gravitating toward the theater. Her mother “disapproved .stick to journalism,” she said .“ mo matter what you look like, you can always write.”

Thank goodness she didn’t listen. She knew who she was and did not let anyone deter her--even someone as close as her mother.

So...just who do you think you are? Others may not validate you,but can you validate yourself? Do you see your strengths ? Do you know your potential?

If you think you are only what others may convey, you are likely short-changing yourself , for you are a beautiful creation, worthy of great esteem. Do you value yourself properly?

Just who do you think you are? It ‘s a question we each must answer . Consider it well,for it may be one of the most important questions of your life.
