alight词义辨析

大家一直质疑alight一词。为什么大家都觉得alight不好或错误呢，我可能是我们没在课本里学过或不熟悉？但是我已自己的经历告诉大家，这个字在英国非常常用。在伦敦地铁里靠近白金汉宫的那站Green Park Station报站时就用alight here for Buckingham Palace. 去白金汉宫的在此下车。



还有，伦敦现在有些线路加长了列车节数，但是市中心有些上百年的车站站台根本不够长，容不下加长后的列车，这时广播就会通知乘客往前挪，这时司机就会说（大意），you cannot alight from the rear coach as this station has a short platform，, please move to the front coaches.

这里alight就是让下车的意思。



还有，我们公交车终点的下客站，在伦敦用的词就是alighting point或alight here only. 到处都是。

不过，上海地铁最近刚刚将提示音中一直使用的alight换成了人人都听得懂的exit。

关于替代词，有朋友告诉我可能伦敦地铁也怕旅游的人英语不好，不懂alight这个很专业的词，现在也部分改为exit一词，但是，如果是用get off这个词组，最好加上get off the train, 但怎么都不如alight一词简洁明了。
