Do you know the name Yancheng’s origin?

Yancheng,literally "salt city"is named after the many sea salt harvest fields around the city.Accroding to historical records,the production of sea salt in the region began as early as 19 BC during the Western Han Dynasty,when the settlement on the current location of Yancheng was named Yandu country.

New Fourth Army Memorial Hall

The New Fourth Army was set up in 1937. In order to commemorate the honorable army, New Fourth Army Memorial Hall is built .This “Iron Army monument”, with its touching stories, detailed history of families, magnificent and beautiful environment to become an important tourist attraction in Yancheng and patriotic education bases.

Dafeng Milu Nature Reserve

The nature reserve is located in Dafeng City, being the world's largest wild breeding base for milu. Other herds of animals can also been found in it, including swan, ern and roe. Furthermore, tourist facilities and auxiliary buildings may greatly ease visitors' stay there.
