一、考点

1. thatifwhether引导的宾语从句

1). 当陈述句充当宾语从句时,这个宾语从句由that引导,在口语或非正式文体中that常省略。

例句:I hear (that) she’s going to give you a call.

我听说她要给你打电话。

2). 由一般疑问句充当宾语从句时,该从句由ifwhether引导,且从句要用陈述句语序。

例句:He asked if / whether they needed any help.

他问他们是否需要帮助。

3). 无论是that引导的宾语从句,还是ifwhether引导的宾语从句,如果主句是一般过去时,从句都要用对应的过去时态。

例句:Lisa told me that she would learn a foreign language.

莉萨告诉我她要学一门外语。

 

2. 动词warn的用法

warn sb to do sth意为告诫某人做某事;警告某人做某事,其中动词不定式作warn的宾语补足语。

例句:She warned them to be careful.

她告诫过他们要小心。

二、易错点

1. die, dead, death

1). die 是不及物动词,意为死;去世,一般指因生病、负伤等原因而死去。

例句:He was born in 1847 and died in 1913.

他生于1847年,死于1913年。

2). dead 是形容词,意为死的;无生命的,表示状态,可以在句中作表语或定语。

例句:He is dead, but his name will live forever in our hearts.

他虽然死了,但他的名字将永远在我们心中。

3). death是抽象名词,意为死;死亡,通常作不可数名词。

例句:I heard of his death when I got to his house.

我到他家时得知了他的死讯。

 

2. lay & lie

1). lay作动词,它有放置;安放之意,还有产(卵);下(蛋)之意。

过去式是laid,过去分词是laid,现在分词是laying
