Step 1: Lead in

Teacher will show some pictures and let students to guess the verbs: swim, eat dinner, do homework, watch TV and play basketball.

Step 2: Presentation

1) Read and answer. Students will read the passage and try to answer the questions--Q1: Which activities are mentioned in the article? Q2: What are they doing? And fill in the blanks.

2) Conclude the grammar. Guide students to know the structure and function of the present continuous tense: be+doing
