一、教材分析

Section A部分通过图文将学生带入“谈论电视节目”的语境中,并呈现不同电视节目类型的表达方式,以及句型:AWhat do you think of ?

B: I don’t mind them. (I can’t stand them. I love watching them.用来表达对各类电视节目的偏好。本部分还呈现了谈论计划和安排的句型,ADo you want to watch the news? B: Yes, I do. (No, I don’t.) A: What do you plan to watch on TV tonight? B: I plan to watch Days of our Past.主要学习不定式作宾语的用法,本部分出现的几个不定式有: want to do, plan to do, expect to do , hope to do等。

1a的主题图呈现了两个孩子手拿遥控器选电视节目的情景,他们在谈论自己喜欢哪种电视节目,图中呈现了七种不同的电视节目类型。活动1b以听力对话的形式再现了表达对不同节目类型的偏好的句式,还呈现了谈论计划和安排的句型I Planwantto . Do you want to join me? What do you want to watch?让学生初步感知不定式的使用。活动1c主要让学生模仿输出询问偏好的句型What do you think of ? 以及几个表达喜好程度的短语

课时的学习内容主要是学生了解节目的种类,在此基础上谈论自己对这些节目的看法。同时学会掌握动词不定式做宾语的运用。

二、学情分析

本单元涉及的是电视节目相关的内容,学生学会这些节目的表达并会谈论这些节目的看法。学生对这些内容比较有兴趣。同时八年级学生具备了一定的合作探究式学习能力,我相信,本单元的学习一定是学生很感兴趣的一个单元。

本课的学习内容是对电视节目的种类了解;学习谈论对电视节目的看法。学生都很喜欢看电视,因此这个话题贴近学生生活实际,也能充分激发他们的学习兴趣,课上要引导他们用英语表达出不同的人对电视节目的不同偏好,并且陈述他们的看法和意见。学会询问他人对某事物的看法及观点的重要句型,准确把握这些句子的运用场合。其次,动词不定式作宾语是首次在语法中出现也是难点,课堂上要加强引导和操练,可先从课本上出现的几个入手,本节课不必拓展。

Step 1. Free talk by communicating with students:

It’s raining for a long time. It’s a little cold outside, but my heart is warm because I can be here to have so many great students.

You’re so great. But the weather is not so great.

What do you often do on rainy days?

Do you like watching TV?

What kind of TV shows do you like?

Step 2: Lead in

I asked some questions to lead in the new lesson and show the title to students.

1. I let the students look at the pictures, try to name each of the TV show.

2. Students learn the names of the TV shows.

Step 3Pair work

I told students to ask at least five classmates questions about TV shows in their group by using the target language.

--- A sports show. / Sports shows.

Step 4: Listening

I asked my students to listen and number the shows [1-4] in the order they heard them.

1. T: Tell students to read the shows in the box. Make sure they know the meaning of the shows.

2. Play the recording for the Ss to listen and number the shows1-4.

3. Check the answers with the Ss.

1.I got students to listen and fill in the blanks with the words they heard hear. (want to do, plan to do)

2. I gave my students another chance to listen, and then choose correct phrases. (don’t mind, can’t stand)

Activity about matching

I got students to describe people or things using new languages such as love, like, don’t mind, don’t like and can’t stand.

Step 8: Pair work

1. I told my students to ask and answer with their partner two questions about different TV shows. Then report conversations to another pair.

2. I showed the video I made at home, which is about a conversation between my daughter and me. This activity can give students a good example to guide the next pair work.
