Comments on the film named crash

After watching the crash, I was quietly shocked. Perhaps as a student, I have not experienced enough to say something about cross-culture communication although my major was English, and we all try to bridge the eastern culture and western culture. In the past, ethnic discrimination has always been the most controversy issue for Americans between the black and the white. just cite the sentence of Zhou Enlai premier minister, “in this small world, we should seek common points while reserving difference.” When two different culture crashed with each other at beginning, what they facing are nothing but the conflicts and contradictions, which seems to be unable to solve. In my opinion, the merging process of the different culture is the process of tolerance to each other. The best way to settle this problem is to just trust each other always, as we all known, it is very tough to do this, especially when you are being misunderstood by the person whom you treat them kindly.

Throughout the history, the race discrimination is always the top schedule of nation contradictories and conflicts. All nations trying to solve this problem ended with the failure, always the same result. Why!

The point is that how to eliminate race discrimination. We all say that all people were bored equally. Why did we always link the black people with crime? Why did we always regard a person named khan as terrorism? Is it true that all black people have or shall commit crime, all the people named khan are terrorism? Of course, the answer is NO. The reason why we have such a thought pattern is that many black people committee crime and one person named khan once was the most infamous terrorism in the world. From that time on, we just thought it is natural. It is this kind of thought pattern that deepen and deteriorate conflicts from generation to generation. I just thought that race discrimination is the amassing result of misunderstanding in cross-culture communication.

When two different cultures crashed, the people from different culture should try to respect and understand each other rather than interpreting each other in their own cultural and thought way. And as a medium of culture transmission, we should try to friendly and accurately explain the strange thing to people to avoid misunderstanding and contradictory and also correct some faults and errors having been made by our pioneer rather than neglect or turn deaf ear to them. Cross-culture communication is nothing just believe each other always. Perhaps we cannot eliminate the misunderstanding and contradictory right now, but just hold a belief that communication is cultural crash, and soul communication，as long as we treat each other kindly all the time, all kinds of frictions and conflictions can be defeated by humanity and all the people can be friends . At the beginning of the intercultural communication, the first generation suffers so much pains and overcome unimaginable barriers.

As long as all of us do it always, intercultural communication will enjoy a pleasure progress and embraces a bright future. Long enough time, race discrimination will become weaker and weaker till vanish forever. Peace and harmonious world is not far.
