　　篇三：美国的劳动节简介
　　1882年的9月4号，也就是124年前的今天。纽约市的工人领袖彼得.麦吉尔建议纽约所有的工会组织在这一天举行一场盛大的(游)行，向资方要求更加合理的工作条件，同时也向纽约市民展示工人的力量和团结精神。
　　这一天，总共有两万多名纽约工人参加了(游)行。他们高举劳动创造一切的标语，呼喊着8小时工作、8小时休息、8小时娱乐的口号，从纽约市中心的百老汇大道上一路走过。此后，纽约市的工人每年都要在9月初举行类似的(游)行活动。而且美国其他城市的工人组织也开始纷纷效仿。到了1894年，美国国会投票，把每年9月的第一个星期一指定为全国的劳动节。转眼间，美国人庆祝劳动节已经有了100多年的历史。在过去的100多年里，美国的劳工权益保护已经发展得相当完善。
　　到了现在，劳动节对于很多美国人来说，已经不再是上街(游)行，争取权益的日子。不过美国人对劳动节还是非常欢迎。因为对大多数美国人来说，劳动节为他们提供了一个非常难得的连休三天的长周末。在美国，劳动节也约定俗成地成为夏天结束的象征。
