slowly, you begin to sense the elevator is moving，it’s going up.as it goes up, you begin to notice the windows and the people behind the windows.

the buildings are tall，and it takes a little while to get to the top. just as the elevator reaches over the buildings，a beautiful lake emerges in your sight, the water is clear and peaceful，ducks are playing on the lake and ripples are spreading.

beyond the lake is a grass covered mountain slope with sheep easily enjoying their meals.

the elevator keeps going up，when it reaches over the top of the mountain，a beautiful harbor appears on the horizon .in the harbor sailboats are easily

cruising on the blue and peaceful water.

around the harbor，large areas of trees and flowers and magnificent houses spread themselves regularly along the coast.

you are struck by the beauty of the environment and harmony between nature and design.

you begin to imagine yourself living in that harbor，having all the thing you ever desire，enjoying all the friendships you ever dream，and achieving all the accomplishment you ever aspire.

人与自然

一、人的活动范围——自然环境

地球表层（或地理壳）：包括上至大气对流层顶层（在极地上空约8公里，赤道上空约17公里，平均约10公里），下至岩石圈的上部（陆地上约深5-6公里，海洋下平均深4公里）。这是今天人类在开发利用，并有很大影响的范围——我们的环境。

地球表面是一个开放的空间，与其以外的地方有物质和能量的交换：

输入到地球表层：

太阳辐射

潮汐能

地壳深处向地球表层送热岩浆

天上的各种粒子流（宇宙线，电子波等）

流星、陨石。

地球表层的输出：

同太阳辐射能大致相等的红外辐射，散发到宇宙空间

少量的质轻的气体分子散溢到上层大气，以至空间

岩层离开地球表面斜插入深处

人造卫星、飞船等被送入太空

二、人的生存环境问题

（一）联合国专家撰文警告

世界十大环境问题——十大祸患威胁人类

联合国环境规划署负责人克劳斯.特普费尔日前在法国《问题》周刊发表文章指出，地球上的十大环境祸患正威胁着人类生存。

1．土壤遭到破坏

人们对这个问题的关注远不如对地球变暖或空气污染问题 的关注。我们发现，110个国家（共10亿人口）可耕地的肥沃程度在降低，在非洲、亚洲和拉丁美洲，由于森林植被的消失，耕地的过分开发和牧场的过度放牧，土壤剥蚀情况十分严重，化 肥和农药的过多使用，与空气污染有关的有毒尘埃降落，泥浆到处喷洒，危险废料（国外有害垃圾的走私入境，化学有毒物品的随意处理等）到处抛弃。

2．气候变化和能源浪费

温室效应严重威胁着整个人类，据2500名有代表性的专家预计，许多人口稠密的地

区以及太平洋和印度洋上的多数岛屿都被水淹没，气温的升高也将给农业和生态系统带来严重影响。

环境专家相信：喷气式飞机是超过汽车使地球变暖和威胁臭氧层最令人担忧的原因。据估计，喷气客机可能产生了百分之十的温室应气体，而且这种污染直接排放在外层空间，产生一种“静脉硬化作用”使地球变暖。 航空业以每年五至百分之六的速度发展，对全球变暖的作用至少每十年增加一倍。

荷兰地球之友的克拉克说，“我们正在面临航空问题，就象七十年代我们面临汽车问题一样。”二十年前，人们很难唤起汽车司机关注他所产生的污染，而现在每个司机都很清楚，然而当汽车污染降下来时，飞机却在外空超过了它们。英国地球之友的希格曼说，航空业每个旅客产生的污染比其他任何方式都多。当航空发动机变得更加强劲有力时，飞机的数量却在以不恰当的速度增长。根据美国环保局资料，航空业是使石油增长最快的部门，2010 年的消耗将是1990 年的两倍。航空业消耗

约百分之三的石油，每年产生十五至二十二亿吨二氧化碳这种温室效应气体。地球之友表示，事实上全球航空业都享受免税燃料，燃油价是每升六株，没有足够动力使他们降低油耗。

波音公司表示航空业产生了一氧化碳和氮氧化物排放量的百分之二。但联合国气候变化官员说，航空业应对百分之五至六温室效应气体负责。航空业排放量不包括在温室效应气体限排国际协议中，京都会议因无法协 调怎样区分每人国家的责任，他们特意排除了它。

“航空旅行正确价格”这一新的运动寻求取消耗燃油免税，这项活动中的英国高级人士杰夫盖扎德说，“航空旅行的爆炸性增长是由于巨大的隐性税务补贴，它歪曲了整个航空业经济，并直接导致了全球变暖。”克拉克先生说如果航空汽油征收与汽车燃油同样的税率，欧洲当局将每年增收五千亿美元。

3．生物的多样性减少

由于城市化、农业发展、森林减少和环境污染，自然区域变得越来越小，数以千计物种灭绝。

4．森 林 面 积 减 少

过去数百年里，温带地区国家失去了大部分森林。最近几十年来，热带地区国家森林面积减少的情况也十分严重。在1980年至1990年，世界上有1.5亿公顷森林（占全球森林总面积的12%）消失了。

5．淡水资源受到威胁

在发展中国家，80%至90%的疾病和1/3以上死亡者的死因都与受细菌感染或受化学污染的水有关。现在，每天有2.5万人死于通过水传染的疾病。在农业开发程度比较高的国家里，由于过多使用农药和化肥，地上水和地下水都受到了严重的污染，据 专家估计，从下个世纪初开始，世界上将1/4的地方长期缺水。

6．化学污染

工业带来的数百万种化合物存在于空气、土壤、水、植物、动物和人体中。即使作为地球上最近的大型天然生态系统的冰盖也受到了污染。那些有机化合物、重金属、有毒产品，都集中存在于整个食物链中，并最终将威胁到动植物的健康，引起癌症，导致土壤肥力减弱。

7．混乱的城市化

人口爆炸、农业土地退化、贫穷，所有这些因素促使第三世界数以百万计的农民离开农村，聚集于大城市的贫民窟里。大城市里的生活条件将进一步恶化。

8．海洋的过度开发和沿海地带被污染

海洋是生命之源。由于过度捕捞，海洋的渔业资源正以令人可怕的速度减少。因此，许多靠摄取海产品蛋白为生的穷人面临饥饿的威胁。集中存在于鱼肉中的重金属和有机磷化合物等物质有可能给食鱼者的健康带来严重的威胁。

9．空气污染

多数大城市里的空气含有许多由取暖、运输和工厂生产带来的污染物。这些污染物威胁着数千万市民的健康，导致许多人失去了生命。

10．极地臭氧层空洞

尽管人们已签署了蒙特利尔议定书（该议定书规定要清除破坏臭氧层的物质），但每年春天，在地球的两个极地的上空仍再次形成臭氧层空洞，北极的臭氧层损失20%至30%，南极的臭氧层损失50%以上。
