Answer: The bending moment causing tension in bottom fiber and compression in top fiber. (正弯矩)

Answer: The shear force is positive if the shear force rotates

Clockwise about the designate(指定) point. The shear force is negative if the shear force rotates anti-clockwise about the designate point.

10. Rules of geometrical construction (几何组成规则)

（1） two-rigid body rule：（两刚片规则）

The two rigid bodies, connected by a hinge and a link that doesn’t cross the hinge, form an internally stable system with no redundant restraints.

(2)three-rigid body rule:

Solution 1:

1) It involves three rigid bodies

2) It involves three hinges which don’t lie on the same straight line

3) The rigid body are connected pairwise

4) The system that satisfy the above requirements form an internally stable system

Solution2: Three rigid bodies joined pairwise by hinges ,provided that the three hinge don’t lie on the same straight line ,form an internally stable system

(3)Binary system (二元体)：

A point connected by two-collinear links(相交连杆)form a device termed as a binary system, and the angle formed by the two links must be less them 180 degrees
